We know there’s no love-loss between Democratic presidential rivals Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. But what dropped into today’s e-mail inbox was particularly revealing about their pitched battle for their party’s nomination.?Obama’s Senate office released a statement Tuesday touting his co-sponsorship of a new bill to provide an extra $1 billion in emergency money for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), which helps poor families pay for heating supplies.The Illinois lawmaker named several sponsors including lead author Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont,Mulberry handbags, Democratic Sens. John Kerry of Massachusetts and Sherrod Brown of Ohio.Absent from the list was Clinton even though she co-sponsored the measure too, and yet?Obama went on to name Republican Sen. Olympia Snowe of Maine and even Republican Sen. Norm Coleman of Minnesota who is facing a tough re-election bid next year.“Soaring energy costs have meant that more and more Americans have to choose between heating their homes and feeding their families.
