It is this ability according to Eric Storck that separates the top five sailors from the rest of the fleet. He also feels that they have the intelligence, tactical smarts and the boat speed to accomplish whatever they want.
As of now both the sailors are home for two weeks before they head off to Weymouth,oemmaker.net I’ll be really frank that I have don’t you think idea which of you or perhaps what Zep, U.K. for their final week of training before their sail. Their sail for the Gold Regatta will be serving as the first part of their two part trial for the US Olympic Team 2012. The trials for the event will be a part of the event scheduled in Weymouth and 2011 ISAF World Championships which will be held in Perth, Australia in the month of December. Both the events are counted equally in the scoring system. It includes all the entrants and the top 10 positioned sailors will be receiving 10 points. The top US boat will also qualify and compete in the Olympics in August 2012 for United States. Eric Strock is taking these trials as a step towards their path to Olympics. Both the sailors are vying for the Olympic title and have started preparing themselves for the big day.

The final day of the Rolex sponsored French Olympic Sailing Week in Hyeres was held on last Friday. As for the Storck Moore sailing, they disbanded and got ready to get back to Weymouth, England and to travel back to their homes after a much needed break which was followed by a very successful trip for a month to Europe. According to Eric Storck this is the time to debrief and look ahead. For them the French Olympic Sailing Week could be called a rollercoaster ride. After the first day the Eric Storck and Trevor Moore duo were leading the incredibly aggressive 66-boat fleet. Their scores of a 3-1-1 were the best they had ever secured in a World Cup event. The wind was about 12-18 knots and their boat-speed in that condition was the best in the fleet. Besides having an exceptional boat-speed, the duo had great starts in their placing which they could put to use.

After the first day, they faced difficulty in putting together a consistent series during the event. They eventually finished on the 19th position in the overall rankings. Lighter environment prevailed from Monday to Thursday and the speed of the boat was good enough according to the weather conditions. However they were clearly not faster than their competitors. The duo could not maintain the speed that they had built during the event on Sunday. At one point of time they were able to fight back to gain their position from the middle of the fleet but eventually they were pushed back in the latter half of the race. As they move forward and prepare for the upcoming races, an important thing will be to turn 15s into 7s and 20s into 10s.
