They had a great morning as they finished the first round robin with two great races against Anne-Claire Le Berre who is now fourth on the point tally and Karin Hagstorm who stands third on the point tally. They managed to successfully finish two races before lunch. After lunch they found themselves competing with Gulia Conti from Italy which turned out be the closest race of their day. Gulia Conti stands second on the current point tally. The first beat was very close as Abba Tunnicliffe was on the left and Gulia Conti was on the right. They were slightly ahead on the beat and managed to leebow Gulia Conti the entire way. Anna Tunnicliffe and team were successful in leading her into the mark. On the downwind leg they retained the lead and on the second upwind leg they again had a close call. But they successfully extended the lead by a boat length to grab the win.
Anna Tunnicliffe is making quite the headlines with her unbeatable performance at the Rolex Osprey Cup. She has already managed to capture 15 wins at 0 losses which says a lot about this commendable sailor from the United States. Considering it has only been two days of racing, with her consistent wins, it is quite plain that she will be able to display a record-breaking performance for the rest of the event as well. With its association and sponsorship of sporting events,Seiko sold between 1982 and 1985 a TV Wrist Watch, this is the kind of performance and winning attitude that Rolex wishes to bring out of individuals for the world to see.
Action and adventure are always a part and parcel of Rolex events, though this was taken to a whole new level when the teams were actually racing with hammerhead sharks and other sea creatures at one point. However,chronowatch24.com, even the sharks seemed no match to Anna Tunnicliffe and her team as they went on to win all eight races on Friday. Anna Tunnicliffe’s team consists of Deb Capozzi, Molly Vandemoer and Liz Bower. They are now leading the event and are half way through to the second round robin. Friday was witness to eight extremely exciting races that brought forth the best talent amongst the teams.
The next three races proved to be even more challenging as the winds were changing. The winds were constantly increasing and decreasing that definitely kept all the teams on their toes. Saturday will see Anna Tunnicliffe and her team finish the last three races of the second round robin before they can progress to the next round. There is no doubt that they will be able to be consistent with the performance they have been delivering so far. Excitement and challenge go hand in hand for all Rolex sponsored events, as it is this unique mix that brings out the best in individuals and teams. Rolex strives to present the best sporting talent to the world and reward it handsomely as well. Participating in a Rolex event is an honor for any sportsman, and to emerge the winner definitely gives them an edge that rare can match.
